Credit hire

Chief Rentals has been providing accident replacement vehicles on credit hire for over twenty years. Credit hire is a simple concept - essentially if you or your client has been in a road traffic accident where they were not at fault, we can supply an accident replacement vehicle and allow a period of credit for the rental charges to be paid by the at-fault party.

The daily hire rates we charge are determined by the Association of British Insurers' General Terms of Agreement, to which Chief Rentals is a subscriber. Under this agreement, the at-fault party's insurer is invoiced for the car hire at the agreed rates and the bill is settled directly. When renting an accident replacement vehicle on credit-hire from Chief Rentals, the client will be asked to sign a credit-hire agreement that clearly lays out the terms of hire, the charges, and the period of credit. Chief Rentals’ repair network comprises the highest-quality and longest-established vehicle repair groups in the UK and all our repairers are either 100% PAS125 accredited or are working towards the Kitemark. Our partners are approved by major UK motor insurers.

We collect undriveable vehicles within one working day and offer well-maintained vehicles to suit the driver. Estimates are supplied within 24 hours of a vehicle arriving on site and repairs are carried out on receipt of an engineer’s authority.
